This training certificate indicates that a student was taught specific concepts and principles relating to the topic as prescribed in the course curriculum. To obtain the training certificate, the student would have been present throughout the training. Additionally, they would have had their understanding of the curriculum assessed through a combination of instructor questioning, workbook exercises, theory test questions, and skills verifications.

This training certificate does not provide authorization to perform duties at the worksite. It is the responsibility of the employer to review and decide if they will accept a person’s training based on the information that has been provided to them. Generally, the knowledge and skills you obtained (proof of training via the 3M Safety Training certificate) is then combined by your employer providing additional information or training on company policies, procedures, and equipment, and any competency testing that they administer.
